Therapy Ponies Scotland paid their first visit to Methven House in Kirkcaldy this week. Unbelievably it’s nearly two years since their first visit to Camilla House Nursing Home in Auchtertool. John and Elaine who provide this wonderful therapy service have visited most of our care homes with the miniature Shetland ponies but this was their first visit to Kingdom Homes “Lang Toun” care home.

Flicker and Applejack, looking splendid in their thick winter coats which had been carefully groomed until they gleamed, trotted in to say “hello”. First stop was the ground floor where residents were amazed at how calm and well behaved the wee ponies were.

After a ride in the lift Flicker and Applejack made more friends with residents on the middle and top floors and even went into some residents bedrooms to say hello.
