All employees of Kingdom Homes must be a member of the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). Costs in relation to becoming a member of the scheme (currently £59) or updates (currently £18) to a scheme record will be met by the applicant once they are offered a post.
If your role involves you in the direct care of our residents, it is also a requirement of your employment that you are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Current job vacancies with Kingdom Homes are advertised on this page. We also offer a Modern Apprenticeship (MA) programme that lasts for 12 months. The programme is supported by Kingdom Training, our own in house training division.
The MA programme is funded as part of the Scottish Governments Modern Apprenticeship programme and managed by Skills Development Scotland.
All new employees of Kingdom Homes start with a one-week Induction at our Kingdom Training, training centre to gain an understanding of the basic skills required before working in a care home which includes:
- Health & Safety
- Fire Safety
- Manual Handling
- Personal Care
- Infection Control
Kingdom Training, an SQA approved centre for the delivery of all qualifications required for registration purposes with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), supports staff in achieving their SVQ’s.
Our dedicated training centre has facilities for practical training as well as a “class room” environment.
