Peggy Brookes, who lives at Roselea House in Cowdenbeath, was walking back from a trip to the shops with Margaret Stewart, the care home manager when a helicopter passed overhead. Peggy said “I wouldn’t mind a trip in a helicopter as I’ve never been in one.”
Margaret submitted a wish on Peggy’s behalf to Kingdom Homes Wishing Well initiative and we were delighted to be able to arrange this. Peggy was accompanied by her daughter, grand-daughter and great-grand-daughter as well as care staff from Roselea House.
Peggy’s trip took her over Rosyth dockyard and the bridges over the Forth giving her a excellent view of the new Queensferry Crossing bridge which will be officially opened by the Queen next week. “It was just a remark that I made never thinking it would actually happen. I was thrilled to get the chance to be able to get a close up of the new Queensferry Crossing.”
