We are seeking to employ a highly motivated and experienced nurse with a keen interest in wound care management who would be required to take the lead in developing high quality wound care management support to the organization.
The post is care home based and will be rotational. It is expected that the nurse will carry out nursing duties within the care home and time will be allocated to allow the nurse to carry out the specialist wound care role within the care home.
The clinical nurse specialist role is a diverse role and you will be required to provide evidence of improvement to the clinical lead for the organization. You will provide an educational input to healthcare professionals, care staff and other relevant groups acting as a resource. You will run and maintain the ‘In house’ courses which cover wound assessment, record keeping and best practice in Skin Care. You will be responsible for ensuring that skin and woundcare follows best practice and be required to support with policy development.
