Willow House Nursing Home was built in 2000 and accommodates 40 residents, all in single bedrooms with en-suite facilities. Situated in the village of Cellardyke which is effectively conjoined with Anstruther, the East Neuk of Fife as the area is known attracts visitors from all over Britain and beyond and is a very desirable place to call home.
The care home is set amongst quiet residential streets and has its own large garden and grounds. Just off the main A917 which runs through the village, it is easy to find. It is served by the main bus route between Glasgow and Dundee and the local bus stops at the entrance to Willow House.
The comfortable and spacious home consists of two floors each with their own spacious sitting rooms and dining rooms. There is also a small “quiet” sitting room where residents may take visitors or hold meetings. The upper floor is accessed by a lift. The light and airy ground floor sitting room has French doors leading directly on to a patio area and gardens. Bedrooms are individually furnished with residents encouraged to bring with them any pieces of furniture and belongings that they are especially fond of which makes their bedroom immediately feel like home.
Each bedroom has a direct telephone connection, television point, fire alarm and nurse call point.
Willow House was purchased by Kingdom Homes from the previous owners in March 2016. Immediately thereafter a refurbishment programme began to upgrade the interior and garden of the care home to ensure it meets the Kingdom Homes standards.
