The dining room which creates a homely atmosphere. Tables are laid with old fashioned china and embroidered table cloths from a bye gone era.
Kingdom Homes Ltd is proud to open its first facility dedicated to providing specialist care to those who have dementia related illnesses. Roselea House is located in Stenhouse Street, Cowdenbeath and has been fully renovated and equipped to cater for the special requirements of those with dementia illness.
Advice has been provided by Stirling University Dementia Services Development Centre who are generally accepted as experts in this area of care. Great care has been taken to create a cosy, home from home environment for residents.
Open days were held when members of the public and care industry professionals were invited to view the facilities at Roselea. The feedback received from all visitors was very positive and the general feeling was that great attention to detail had been achieved. In particular the 3 dimentional memory boxes, which aim to create conversation topics and stimulate memories, received much attention.
Roselea House is set to welcome its first residents within the next few weeks.
Visual cue boxes also in 3D are at the entrance to the dining and sitting rooms to aid orientation. The minature lounge furniture in the wall boxes helps residents identify the purpose of this room.
