Kingdom Homes Success at Scottish Care Awards

Kingdom Homes management and staff are delighted following their success at the Scottish Care Awards held at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow on Friday 18th November.

The Company was a finalist in three different categories at this year's Awards and was announced winner of both the Dementia Service and Training And Staff Development Awards and runner up in the Meaningful Activity Award category.

The Dementia Service Award recognised the achievements of Roselea House in Cowdenbeath which provides care for individuals with dementia illnesses. Since opening in April 2010 the care homes has built up an excellent reputation with other healthcare professionals and families of residents.

Kingdom Training which is Kingdom Homes own training division, having been runner up last year, took first place at this year's award ceremony much to the delight of Gary Logan, HR and Training Director, and Trainers Susan Carney and Colin Petrie who were all present.

Last but not least Julie Smith, who heads up the company's Lifestyle Team, was runner up in the Meaningful Activity category for the development of the Lifestyle Project this year which aims to provide more variety of and personally tailored activities for residents.

Kingdom Homes occupied two tables at the dinner after which the awards were presented by TV presenter and singer Michelle McManus. An exciting and nail biting evening was rounded off with dancing to a live band.
