Edward House

Built in 1882 as home to the Jackson family who owned the local linen factory, Edward House benefits from its own mature gardens where residents can take a stroll or sit in the landscaped patio areas to enjoy the fresh air and flowers.

Edward House caters for 27 residents with large, single rooms, some with en-suite toilet facilities. In addition, there is one double room.

The Home's lounges, dining and other public areas also enjoy views over the surrounding area.

The rural setting of Edward House does not distance it from the many attractions of the surrounding area, however.

Close to the commercial and recreational centres of Kirkcaldy, Cupar and Glenrothes, Edward House is also within easy reach of Dundee and other major cities, all of which are accessible by road and rail from nearby stations.

With regular outings to the shops and to shows as well as the area's many other attractions available as part of the Kingdom Homes Ltd outreach programme, there is always plenty to do, including a very busy schedule of in-house events ranging from exercise classes to reminiscence sessions and games, with inter-home competitions a regular and popular feature on the Edward House calendar.

How to find Edward House

On the A92 from Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, Dundee, Cupar and St Andrews leave at the New Inn roundabout and follow the signs for Falkland. Approximately two miles along the A912 lies the picturesque village of Falkland. Edward House is the first building on the left after the Falkland "Winner of Beautiful Scotland and Britain in Bloom" sign. Take the drive to Edward House which lead into the Home's car parking area.

The fees from 14/04/2008 for accommodation with nursing care are as follows:

Fees are normally reviewed in April.
