Alexander House
When Alexander House, built at a cost in excess of £2 million, opened its doors in Crossgates in the autumn of 2007, it became the latest addition to the Kingdom Homes Limited portfolio of prestigious properties.
The 40-bed facility is now at the forefront of care with all Alexander House residents enjoying either large single rooms with en-suite toilet and shower facilities or double rooms with en-suite toilet and shower facilities where two people can share a room.
Alexander House has been designed to meet and indeed surpass all current safety requirements and regulations and is a real home from home, allowing residents to enjoy a cocooned degree of domesticity within a caring community.
Alexander House's upper floors are accessed by lift, while the ground floor lounges and dining areas have access to mature garden areas.
Sitting at the heart of Crossgates, the predominantly rural setting of Alexander House does not distance it from the many attractions of the many surrounding towns like Dunfermline, however, with even Edinburgh only a short way away by road and rail. And with regular outings to the shops, and to shows at the likes of the famous Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline and other attractions which are always available as part of the Kingdom Homes Limited outreach programme, there is always plenty to do, including a very busy schedule of events ranging from exercise classes to reminiscence sessions and games, with inter-home competitions a regular and popular feature on the Alexander House calendar.
How to find Alexander House
Alexander House is situated within the grounds of Craigie House Care Home in Crossgates. Leave the A92 Fife Regional Road at the junction for Crossgates and follow the B925 for one mile into the village. Follow the main road to the T-junction with traffic lights, turning left towards Cowdenbeath. Follow this road for approximately one mile and Alexander House can be seen on the right. The spacious car park is 100 metres along the drive.
